1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Safe-to-Save ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Safe-to-Save is a personal finance calculator. It lets you log income and expenses, track spending patterns, and calculate how much of your bank balance may be safe to move into savings based on the data you provide.
Safe-to-Save is not a bank, financial institution, or financial advisor. It does not hold your money, execute transactions, or provide regulated financial services.
3. No Financial Advice
All calculations, recommendations, and projections provided by the Service — including the "safe to save" amount — are mathematical estimates based solely on data you enter. They do not constitute professional financial advice.
You should consult a qualified financial professional before making significant financial decisions. The Service's output is a tool for your consideration, not a directive. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions.
4. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
The Service uses synthetic email addresses for authentication. These are not real email addresses and cannot be used for password recovery. You are responsible for remembering your credentials.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service's operation
- Upload malicious code or attempt to compromise the Service's security
- Use automated means to access the Service in a way that imposes unreasonable load
6. Service Availability
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access and may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.
The Service is hosted on Supabase and GitHub Pages, and its availability depends on those third-party platforms.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Safe-to-Save and its creator shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to financial losses resulting from decisions made based on the Service's output.
8. Data Accuracy
The Service's calculations are only as accurate as the data you enter. You are responsible for entering correct amounts, dates, and categories. The Service does not connect to your bank accounts or verify the accuracy of your entries.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. We reserve the right to terminate or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be noted in the "What's New" section within the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
